When you're a teenager, your brain is still growing. You're uninhibited and think you can do anything without consequence. This guy, 19 year old Jake, is a hilarious example of this. He was really putting malicious compliance before his own self preservation!
As u/RussianAnnaB wrote in the r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit, her boyfriend Jake had a job at a smoothie store, but he made it clear that he had an allergy that meant he couldn't work with one specific food. It was a mildly serious allergy, but Jake's boss just disregarded that.
In the comments, other people noted that they had had people not believe them about their allergies. Is this common? Why would anyone lie about an allergy? Who thinks that way? At least Jake proved his point, once and for all, to his disbelieving boss.
